Camp “My Palafittes” (Palafitte – wooden houses raised on stilts) is located in the North-western corner of the Delta Amacuro State, adjacent to the Monagas State, between the Morichal Largo River outlet and the majestic and wild Caño Manamo.

A real natural paradise surrounded by a large forest integrated with moriches, palm trees and other flora species, and river channels forming a delicate ecosystem. The construction of the camp and its palafittes keep close similarity to the habitat of the aborigines of the zone, since they have been made using the same techniques used by the Warao indians. A characteristic of this construction is the use of strong wooden basis (stilts) buried under ground along the banks of the river, and thick roofs made of temiche (kind of straw).

A visit to the Camp “My Palafittes” will allow you to experience a unique life style on earth. You will feel integrated to this marvelous ecosystem, surrounded by the gentle waters of the Orinoco River. At our facilities we have a colored fauna (Monkeys, Macaws, Chigüires, Herons, Toucans, Porcupines, Parrots, Otters, Manatees, Araguatos), and domestic mascots which will attract the attention of our visitors providing them an entertaining stay.
