The
construction of Camp "ORINOCO BUJANA LODGE"
began in November 2005, with the perspective of progressive development
and integration for the coming years. These facilities are founded
at the borders of Caño Bujana, integrated with the hegemony
of the tropical forest, characterized by the construction of shelter
type of palafittes and communicating passages suspended on the
land, since this zone tends to stay humid and marshy due to the
variable tide of the Delta hydrography. Also, there is another
structure Churuata type (Indian kind of hut), of larger capacity,
area assigned for the reception, kitchen and restaurant services.
Each palafitte has been built to offer the best lodging service,
suitable for resting. Each is endowed with water, electricity
and restrooms for personal care (ceramic baths), and are decorated
with artisan furniture. Linen goods are provided in all palafittes.

The project has been
coordinated from its initial phase of construction by its owner,
Mr. Alexandros Marmanidis, a businessman who with great care and
tenacity has integrated the economic progress of the Warao community
and promotes the tourism development of the zone; providing alternative
lodgings for visitors and tourists, local and foreign as well,
that wish to explore the natural wonders of the Delta region.
This region has become a preferential tourist destination for
visitors with adventure spirits for exploration excursions and
attraction to tropical forests. |

Thanks to the
valuable contribution of the Warao communities, the construction
and continuous development of this beautiful tourist installation
has been possible. Their native knowledge, wisdom and permanence
within their territorial area (TROPICAL FOREST), plus the natural
beauties of the place (a special flora and fauna hydrography),
constitute the most important value that causes the Orinoco Delta
to be selected as a tourist destination, thus representing a social
cultural interchange patrimony from Venezuela to the world. |
