CAMP "ORINOCO
BUJANA LODGE"
Camp
"ORINOCO BUJANA LODGE" is located
at the Northwest of the Delta Amacuro state, Pedernales
municipality, adjacent to Caño Manamo, specifically
in Caño Bujana.
The
construction of camp ORINOCO BUJANA LODGE
keeps similarity with Camp My Palafittes. A special characteristic
of these facilities is the construction of palafittes (wooden
houses raised on stilts) for the lodging and resting of
their visitors. The palafittes keep a similar style to the
habitat of the aborigines of the zone (Warao Indians), since
they were raised using their technique, as it is the use
of strong wooden basis (stilts) buried under ground along
the banks of the river, and thick roofs elaborated with
temiche palm (kind of straw).
It
is a real natural paradise, surrounded by abundant tropical
forest that forms a delicate ecosystem with varied flora
and fauna. In our facilities we have diverse species of
flora constituted by the natural vegetation of the zone.
Also, within the facilities of the Camp we have different
fauna species, among them: Monkeys, Macaws, Chigüires,
Herons, Toucans, Porcupines, Parrots, Otters, Manatees,
Araguatos and domestic mascots which attract the attention
of our visitors providing them an amusing stay.
